Quadrant CMS works with Grundfos on development and production of key components for SCALA2 domestic water pressure booster

Quadrant CMS collaborates with Oystershell to create cold-temperature wart remover
Tielt, Belgium – December 13, 2016 - A disposable liquefied-gas dispensing pen for removing warts is coming to market after an intense collaborative development process involving inventor Oystershell Laboratories and manufacturing partner Quadrant CMS. The Pixie pen, which doses small amounts of nitrous oxide onto the skin from a pressurized container, is automatically assembled from 14 components. Of those, Quadrant CMS injection molds six plastic components using five different engineering plastics, including acetal, polycarbonate, nylon, PMMA and SAN.

Quadrant CMS employs plastics/metal hybrid technology to save weight and money in production of automotive airbag assemblies with integrated lead frames
Tielt, Belgium - April 28, 2016 - A hybrid plastics/metal airbag housing with integrated lead frame, co-developed and produced by Quadrant Creative Molding & Systems for an automotive steering wheel airbag assembly, is proving an important saver of weight, packing space and costs. Production is carried out fully automatically to provide high levels of quality and safety in the zero-defect environment of automotive passive safety. The assembly is being fitted on vehicles produced around the world.

QUADRANT CMS AND DISPACK PROJECTS CO-DESIGN BREAKTHROUGH DOLIUM® ONE-WAY PET BEER KEG SYSTEM
Tielt, Belgium - March 3, 2015 - Quadrant Creative Molding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) is supporting Dispack Projects in creating a new generation one-way PET beer keg with a recyclable, innovative valve system as a cost-effective and easy-to-transport alternative to traditional multi-trip stainless steel kegs.
Dispack Projects’ new one-way DOLIUM® 20- and 30-liter kegs incorporate valve systems injection molded in glass reinforced polyamide, as well as protective, stability-adding external keg rings for improved handling and storage. Both elements were designed and developed through close co-operation between Quadrant CMS, a fully-integrated manufacturer of injection molded polymer components and sub-assemblies headquartered in Tielt, Belgium and Dispack Projects.

QUADRANT CMS DEVELOPS MULTIPLE AIRBAG HOUSINGS FOR NEW CITROEN C5
TIELT, BELGIUM – February 2008 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) of Tielt, Belgium, working in close co-operation with Tier-1 automotive supplier TRW - Dalphimetal of Madrid, Spain, has developed all three front airbag housings for the new Citroën C5. The housings for the driver airbag, passenger airbag and knee airbag are moulded in impact-modified Akulon® Polyamide 6 from DSM with 40 percent glass-fibre reinforcement.

QUADRANT CMS DEVELOPS PASSENGER AIRBAG HOUSING FOR NEW FIAT 500
TIELT, BELGIUM – October, 2007 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) of Tielt, Belgium, working in close co-operation with Tier-1 automotive supplier Autoliv, has developed a polymer passenger airbag housing for the new Fiat 500, which was launched in May this year to commemorate 50 years since the birth of the first edition in 1957. The housing is moulded in impact-modified Akulon® Polyamide 6 with 40 percent glass-fibre reinforcement from DSM.

QUADRANT CMS LAUNCHES PATENTED THIN FILM FLUOROPOLYMER TECHNOLOGY (TFFT) IN EUROPE
TIELT, BELGIUM – July 2007 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) has developed and patented a new technology to bond a thin strip of PTFE with a thermoplastic carrier in a single step overmoulding process. The resulting product has a top surface which exhibits the excellent low-friction and chemical resistance properties of the fluoropolymer, yet is as mechanically strong as the thermoplastic carrier beneath it. Moreover, it provides the typical “design for assembly” freedom of an injection-molded part.

QUADRANT CMS TO DOUBLE HUNGARIAN PRODUCTION BY END OF 2007
TIELT, BELGIUM – July 2007 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) is about to double the turnover at the Hungarian facility compared to 2006 and has announced plans to further increase the production capacity significantly of its purpose-built injection-moulding facility in Szigetszentmiklos, south of Budapest, by the end of 2007. Production at the plant has increased significantly in recent months, principally as a result of Quadrant CMS’ success in the region. Amongst Quadrant CMS’s expansion plans are the addition of Krauss-Maffei and Engel injection moulding machines, ranging from 25 to 400 tons, and the employment of more workers at the site in line with the additional activity.

INJECTION MOULDED PASSENGER AIRBAG HOUSING FROM QUADRANT CMS SAVES WEIGHT AND COST
TIELT, BELGIUM – June, 2007 – Quadrant Creative Moulding & Systems (Quadrant CMS) of Tielt, Belgium, working in close co-operation with Tier-1 automotive supplier Autoliv, has developed a new, polyamide passenger airbag housing for use in vehicles based on the Volkswagen Golf platform. The housing, moulded from impact-modified polyamide 6 with 40 percent glass-fibre reinforcement, is just under half the weight of the original metal counterpart and provides considerable cost-of-manufacture savings. The part is being installed in vehicles such as the VW Golf, Audi A3, Seat Leon and Skoda Fabia since early 2007.

VORWERK GROUP PARTNERS WITH QUADRANT CMS FOR FUNCTIONALLY AESTHETIC VACUUM HOSE MODULE

The part, included on Vorwerk’s new “Tiger” vacuum cleaner which was launched globally in early 2007, delivers improvements in terms of functionality, handling and aesthetics.

PUMP-ROLLERS FROM QUADRANT CMS FOR COST-EFFECTIVE, HIGH VOLUME PRODUCTION
TIELT, BELGIUM – February 22th, 2007 – Development work by Quadrant CMS (Creative Moulding & Systems), in close cooperation with Micropump Inc., has enabled the injection-moulding of pumps-rollers for a high volume application using Ertalyte TX PET-P. These parts were originally machined from extruded bar stock of the same material by Quadrant CMS’ sister company Quadrant EPP (Engineering Plastic Products), a specialist in this field. The change to a more cost-effective processing method for the pump-rollers, the production levels of which increased rapidly over the last few years, was welcomed by Micropump Inc.
