DSM opens new manufacturing plant for innovative anti-reflective coating
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, has opened its newly constructed manufacturing plant for KhepriCoat® anti-reflective coating at the Chemelot site in Geleen (Netherlands). The need for additional coating supply is a direct result of the fast growing market for solar energy.

DSM acquires innovative light trapping technology for solar modules
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announces that it has acquired the SolarExcel company. Based in Venray (Netherlands) SolarExcel has developed a proprietary light trapping technology that can significantly increase the efficiency of solar panels. With the acquisition DSM expands its growing portfolio of solar energy enabling technologies. Financial details of the acquisition are not disclosed.

DSM increases capacity for innovative solar coatings
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, today announces that it is increasing the installed manufacturing capacity for KhepriCoat® anti-reflective coating. The additional capacity is expected to be on stream by the end of 2012 at the Chemelot site in Geleen, the Netherlands. DSM invests in Tsing Capital Environment Fund
Royal DSM, the global Life Sciences and Materials Sciences company, has invested in the 4th China Environment Fund of Tsing Capital in China. This is DSM's first venture capital fund investment in Asia. The China Environment Fund is a series of four funds, managed by Hong Kong based Tsing Capital. Financial details of the investment have not been disclosed.
