SOFT TOUCH GRIP AND FLEXIBLE SEAL FOR TUPPERWARE CAFETIERE

Tupperware, leading producer of quality household goods and Kitchenware, has selected Arnitel® TPE from DSM Engineering Plastics for its new Cafetiere. With a modern look and high aesthetic appeal, the Cafetiere features a highly individual design incorporating a soft touch grip and flexible seal.

To meet the needs of this application, Tupperware selected Arnitel® TPE from DSM to provide both the required softness of the handle grip and the functionality of the inner seal, which has to provide the right balance of flexibility and stiffness for assembly at room temperature and pouring hot coffee at 90ºC.

Tupperware is well known for innovation, excellent aesthetics and a lifetime guarantee. Arnitel® TPE provides the manufacturer with excellent adhesion properties in a food-approved grade for 2K injection moulding onto the polycarbonate thermal insulation jug. Overmoulding of thin wall sections and/or using low flow paths is facilitated by the low viscosity and excellent flow behaviour of the selected grade. Additional end-user benefits include good scratch resistance and dishwasher proof performance.
