New PR network will be largest technology specialist network in Europe
A new Pan European Network of partner PR firms has been formed. This will enable tech companies to have consistent and scalable approach to marketing across Europe with one contact and billing point. The objective is to allow partner PR firms to compete effectively against multinational groups by providing the most comprehensive European network and to offer technology companies a seamless route to European media and markets.
The Eurocom PR Network brings together 140 people working for 150 clients representing billings in excess of 15 million Euros
To complement this capability a multi-lingual press contact centre is being developed in the UK and Netherlands to handle campaigns where full local support is not required.
To date, 17 PR firms have joined the network covering every country in Western Europe. Countries covered include: Austria, Belgium, Denmark, Finland, France, Germany Greece, Ireland, Israel, Italy, Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Portugal, Spain, Sweden, United Arab Emirates (acts as hub for Middle East) and UK. The Network is in the process of being extended to Central and Eastern Europe
The Eurocom PR Network is the largest tech specialist agency network for Europe. There are only two other PR networks (both multinational PR firms) which cover the same number of countries as Eurocom, but Eurocom is the only one to focus exclusively on the technology sector. Of the top 10 European independent networks listed in PR Week UK June 2001, none have partners in as many countries in Europe as Eurocom. Of the top 10 technology PR firms with office in UK listed by PR Week UK 20 July 2001, none have an office or partner in as many European countries as Eurocom.
According to PR Week USA, agency networks have a lot to offer – flexibility, support, indigenous market knowledge, and entrepreneurial spirit.
The Eurocom PR Network was formed by Tom Burgess who has successfully built up three PR firms over the last 20 years including one that became one of the top five UK tech specialists. Recently Tom left the PR firm he founded three years ago which had grown to a fee level of two million Euros, to develop the Eurocom PR Network primarily with PR firms he had worked with over previous years.
Tom Burgess said “We have assembled a great group of like minded dynamic companies who are ambitious and committed to deliver great results. You do not have to own a company to work well together as a team. We are clearly differentiated by our comprehensive coverage in the European market and our prime specialisation in technology markets. We are developing the tools and the processes to ensure that partners can operate in a seamless, consistent manner and are able to measure the results effectively. Each member will have access to central resources to help them in their task and benefit from mutual support from other partners.”
Membership of the Eurocom PR Network will be offered to PR firms who are not Partners but would like to use the Eurocom network as part of their client offering. This will also give clients additional options in the case of conflict or degree of specialisation Member PR firms will be able to plug into a ready made network, they will also be able to use the branding on their promotional materials. One PR firm has agreed to join as a member and there others that are interested in becoming members, an announcement will be made soon.
The Eurocom PR Network can also offer global reach through established relationships with partners in North America and Asia Pacific.
The Eurocom PR Network logo represents a child’s shape sorter toy, with different shapes representing different markets or client needs, all can accommodated by the Eurocom service: one world, many markets, one partner.
