Green Sports Alliance Summit includes the Sustainable Green Printing Partnership

SAYVILLE, NY - June 19, 2019 - The Sustainable Green Printing Partnership (SGP), the leading authority in sustainable printing certification for print manufacturers, announced today that Gary Jones, Specialty Graphics Imaging Association's (SGIA) Director of Environmental, Health, and Safety Affairs, will be a panelist at the 2019 Green Sports Alliance (GSA) Summit discussing green purchasing and how SGP can play an important role in sports facilities' purchasing decisions.

From building materials to food to paper to cleaning and more, the U.S. sports industry annually purchases approximately $485 billion and $1.35 trillion globally worth of goods and services. This session will discuss issues associated with green purchasing and how your sports facility can meet your various purchasing needs while further reducing impact on health, community and the environment.
SGP is a GSA 2019 Summit community partner and will be present at the event, exhibiting at Booth #35. Representatives will be available to provide further information on SGP and education on sustainable initiatives in the print industry.
The annual GSA Summit is the largest and most influential gathering to unite sustainability around the sports community. The summit brings together hundreds of industry stakeholders to learn and share better practices and the latest innovations in greening operations, advancing the supply chain and engaging fans.
The two-day summit offers an opportunity to network with sports, sustainability, and brand professionals in a collaborative setting to engage in problem-solving, skill-building workshops to reduce impacts. With three keynote speakers ranging from athletes to team leaders and different sponsors, attendees will learn how to transform the supply chain, and how to engage fans and surrounding communities.
