TE Connectivity to Showcase Lighting Innovations at Strategies in Light
High performance component solutions focused on LED lighting to be featured
HARRISBURG, Pa. – February 13, 2017 – TE Connectivity (TE), a world leader in connectivity and sensors, is demonstrating LED lighting solutions at the Strategies in Light 2017 tradeshow in Anaheim, California from February 28 to March 2. To showcase its role as an innovator in building automation, TE will highlight at booth #412 its LED lighting solutions for indoor and outdoor applications including the new LUMAWISE Endurance S module, the LUMAWISE Endurance N enhanced base, their broad range of LUMAWISE LED Holder Type Z series and CoolSplice connectors.
- The LUMAWISE Endurance S module is a new compact connectivity solution which connects the LED driver to the control system offering greater flexibility for sensor inputs into street lighting. TE´s LUMAWISE Endurance S module – designed according to Book 18 of the Zhaga alliance – is a standardized connection interface consisting of a receptacle and sealing cap for either Ø40mm or Ø80mm central management systems (CMS).
- The LUMAWISE Endurance N enhanced base creates a platform for rapid development and manufacture of NEMA/ANSI C136 street and outdoor lighting control solutions. The enhanced base takes TE’s Light Controller Base Assembly to the next level of performance by providing AC power switching and DC power necessary for complex control node solutions, allowing designers more time to focus on value-adding features.
- TE’s LUMAWISE LED Holders Type Z Series offers a high level of integration via a solderless connection to array and chip-on-board (COB) LEDs. These sockets mechanically secure and electrically connect the LED to a luminaire without the need to solder. Sockets allow the LED to be directly attached to a PCB or heat sink using a few standard screws. They have multipoint connections, accept optics, include fast attachment features and provide proper orientation.
- TE’s CoolSplice connectors are IPx8 rated in-line splices suitable for outdoor applications. Wire termination is done independently by inserting a wire into the end of the connector and pushing down the color-coded button with a standard pair of pliers. The connector is side-by-side stackable, enabling multiposition configurations.
