As Americas business grows, Pallmann announces three new appointments

Zweibrücken, Germany (4 April 2016) – PALLMANN Group, a world leader in size-reduction technology, has made three new appointments, naming Mauro Gama Managing Director for Pallmann do Brazil in São Paulo, John Crowley sales director for Pallmann Industries’ Rubber Recycling Division, and Simon Howard sales manager for Pallmann Industries’ Process Division. The latter two are both based in the US.

Gama, a Brazilian, has served as Pallmann’s chief financial officer since January 2014. He now assumes responsibility for the company’s large production and tool processing facilities in Diadema, São Paulo, and also will oversee its sales and service operations in Brazil.

Prior to joining Pallmann, Gama had worked for multinational companies in Europe and South America, including Rolls-Royce Group plc in the UK and Schuler Group GmbH in Germany. In 2009 he became director of FIESP, the Federation of Industries of the State of São Paulo – a post he held until joining Pallmann about two years ago.

This appointment comes as Germany-based Pallmann continues to grow its business globally, especially in the Americas. Pallmann Senior Executive Vice President Rolf Gren said the group is keen to expand its activities throughout South America.

“We believe there is considerable potential around the world for our equipment, which is increasingly in demand across various processing industries, including wood, plastics, rubber and textiles,” he said. “With growing awareness of the need to conserve and reuse material resources, opportunities are increasing for innovative recycling technologies. Pallmann is a global leader in this area, and we intend to keep growing.” as the leader in these fields.

Gren notes that South America figures strongly in Pallmann’s strategy. Having Gama, with his intimate knowledge of the local industry, in place to lead its Brazilian operations will help the firm to drive growth in the region.

Separately, Pallmann also announced that John R. Crowley IV has joined the company in its Clifton, New Jersey, office, as sales director for the Rubber Recycling Division. He brings nearly three decades of sales and management experience to the job. Crowley joins Pallmann from Eldan Inc., where he was managing director of the North American subsidiary of the Danish company for the past decade. Before that he served as director of sales and marketing for Granutech Saturn Systems Inc. in Texas.

Simon Howard, meantime, has been hired as sales manager for Pallmann Industries’ Process Division, also in Clifton. “The Process Division is one the fastest-growing parts of the Pallmann Group,” said Gren, “and we are now in the position to strengthen our customer penetration in Americas.” Howard joins Pallmann from the Telford, Pennsylvania-based Fluid Energy Processing & Equipment Co., where he served as sales manager of the equipment division for that manufacturer of powder processing and drying equipment. Prior to that, he worked for 16 years in various engineering, sales, operations and technical sales positions with Kemutec Group — first in the U.K. and then in the U.S. — for that maker of powder processing equipment and components for the food, pharmaceutical and chemical industries.
