EMG to support Cytec Industrial Materials’ European media relations
Bergen op Zoom, January 6, 2016 – Cytec Industrial Materials has appointed EMG, the leading international B2B and industrial communication specialist, to raise its profile among the German and Pan-European Automotive and Materials market.
Cytec Industrial Materials, a business unit of multinational Cytec (part of the Solvay group), is a leading supplier of composite materials, process consumables and tooling to industries that demand rapid response, short lead times, flexibility and strong customer support.
EMG’s initial focus is on development of a proactive media relations strategy and supporting programme centred on creating awareness and understanding of the company’s story and product portfolio. According to Kevin Noels, Account Manager at EMG, “The groundwork was laid earlier this year through a workshop to establish key messages per target audience and identify potential storylines. The resulting messaging platform developed by EMG now serves as the basis for all communication tools and provides a defined framework for Cytec’s team in reaching the desired market segments.”
The new approach was implemented for the first time at the Composites Europe 2015 trade fair in September. EMG supplemented pre-show media training for Cytec’s spokespeople, press releases and on-site interviews with the key composite and plastics publications, securing substantial quality press coverage and opportunities for future editorial co-operation. Further events in the pipeline include the opening of Cytec’s new application centre in the UK in December and the JEC World Composites Show in Paris in March 2016.
Claire Michel, Communications Manager for Cytec Industrial Materials (part of Solvay Group), comments: “Cytec Industrial Materials has an established presence in the European composites and materials market. Through EMG’s expertise and international capabilities, we see real opportunities to increase awareness among German and EU automotive OEMs of our strategy and portfolio for high volume application of composite materials .”
